Community Based Instruction

Our classroom will be out of campus for most of the week. We are going to start September 22nd.

We are looking at the following:

Monday: Recycling on Campus with Molasky JHS
During 5th or 6th period, Molasky Junior High will be visiting our campus to help us start a recycling program. We will primarily focus on aluminum and plastic. We will make recycling receptacles and place them throughout campus. Every meeting, we will collect the receptacles and separate the aluminum with the plastic.

Tuesday: UNLV's Recycling Yard
We will travel to UNLV's Recycling Yard and help with their jobs. We will learn a variety of job skills here. After wards, we will eat lunch at a nearby establishment.

Wednesday: Opportunity Village
We will be working at Opportunity Village to practice various job skills (ie. sorting, packing, assembly, etc). After wards, we will eat at OV's cafeteria.

Thursday: Various Locations (for Leisure Skills practice)
Every Thursday will be a different location. We will go shopping, sporting events, movies, bowling, etc.
